Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled South Indian Chef with proven experience to lead our kitchen in Switzerland. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine and proven expertise in managing kitchen operations, training staff, and creating innovative menus while maintaining traditional flavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic South Indian dishes (dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, chutneys, biryani, curries, etc.).
- Lead menu development, introducing seasonal and festive specialties.
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of all dishes served.
- Manage full kitchen operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow.
- Source ingredients and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring authenticity while adapting to local availability.
- Implement Swiss food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Control food cost, portion sizes, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with management for menu pricing, promotions, and special events.
